Compressor Servicing: Notes

  1. Compressor drive components (clutch and pulley assembly, clutch coil, and shaft seal assembly) can be serviced with compressor on car although it will be move convenient to remove the compressor so that it can be worked on at the bench.
  2. Compressor can be "isolated" for service work without discharging refrigerant from entire system if other parts of system do not require service. Isolate compressor as follows:
