Final Procedure (OBD II Monitor DTC)

Connect scan tool to data link connector. Turn off all accessories. Using scan tool, monitor pre-test enabling conditions until conditions have been met to run appropriate monitor. Using scan tool, run appropriate monitor for repaired DTC. If repaired DTC has reset, scan tool monitor failed after running. Repair is not complete. Check for any related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) that apply to vehicle or flash updates and return to appropriate DTC or symptom test.

If a new DTC has set, return to appropriate DTC or symptom test. If monitor ran and GOOD TRIP counter changed to one or more, repair was successful. Erase DTCs, then disconnect scan tool.
