Test 4C - Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC) Switch Operation

NOTE: Perform TEST VER-1A after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Use DRB-II to monitor EIC TRIP switch status. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If DRB-II does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Press TRIP button on EIC. If DRB-II does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  3. Use DRB-II to read EIC US/METRIC switch status. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If DRB-II does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  4. Press US/METRIC button on EIC. If DRB-II does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  5. Use DRB-II to read EIC TRIP RESET switch status. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If DRB-II does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
  6. Press TRIP RESET button on EIC. If DRB-II does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, system is operational with no problem found.
