Test 20A - No Response Messages

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .

Three ways exist to get to this test:

  1. DRB-II is currently connected to CCD bus diagnostic connector and you have selected ENGINE from main menu. Perform VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. A self-diagnostic test brought you here.
  3. DRB-II displayed NO RESPONSE message when an attempt was made to read information from a module. Perform VERIFICATION TEST .
NOTE: Monitoring SBEC for an ACTIVE ON BUS message is only possible at CCD bus diagnostics connector. Monitor SBEC for a NO RESPONSE message by selecting SYSTEM TEST under any module test selection menu.

If step 1) is reason you came to this test, select either an appropriate selection from DRB-II menu (BODY, ABS OR TRANSMISSION) or, if you want to perform engine tests, connect DRB-II to engine diagnostic connector located in engine compartment.

If step 2) is reason you came to this test, verify all modules on vehicle are accessible. Perform tests as necessary. See NO RESPONSE MESSAGE  table.

NO RESPONSE MESSAGE

Module Test No.
Body Controller 23A
Compass/Mini-Trip Module 22A
Electronic Instrument Cluster 21A
Single Board Engine Controller 24A

If step 3) is reason you came to this test, perform test as necessary in order that they appear. See NO RESPONSE MESSAGE  table. DRB-II will also show a NO RESPONSE message if you try to access a module that is not on vehicle.
