TEST 46B - Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .
NOTE: This test is for vehicles equipped with a base instrument cluster (without oil gauge).

Ensure engine is still running. Disconnect oil pressure sending unit connector. Check connector, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Check instrument cluster oil warning light. If oil warning light is off, replace oil pressure sending unit. Perform VERIFICATION TEST - VERIFICATION OF REPAIRS . If oil warning light is on, repair short to ground in Gray wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST - VERIFICATION OF REPAIRS .
