Transmission Overdrive Override Switch (A/T Models)

On models with Overdrive, SBEC regulates overdrive upshift and downshift through the overdrive solenoid. The transmission overdrive override switch is mounted in the instrument panel.

The switch is normally closed. If switch is depressed and switch opens, transmission will not enter Overdrive. Transmission will downshift if it is in Overdrive and switch is depressed.
