Test H: Heated Seat Switch Hi Indicator Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Set heated seat switch to HI position. Verify heated seat operation. If heated seat operates properly, go to next step. If heated seat does not operate properly, go to TEST E: DRIVER'S/PASSENGER'S HEATED SEAT INOPERATIVE (INTRIGUE)  .
  2. Remove heated seat switch assembly from instrument panel. Do not disconnect harness connector. Using test light connected to ground, backprobe heated seat switch connector terminal No. 6 (Dark Blue wire). See Figure . If voltage exists, replace heated seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation. If voltage does not exist, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect heated seat switch 8-pin harness connector. Disconnect seat heater control module 10-pin harness connector C1. Check continuity of Dark Blue wire between heated seat switch connector terminal No. 6 and seat heater control module harness connector C1 terminal "F". If continuity exists, replace heated seat control module. See SEAT HEATER CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Dark Blue wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
