DTC B0807: Battery For Door Lock Circuit (Open): Testing

  1. Perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Check DOOR LOCKS fuse (20-amp) located in fuse block. Fuse block is located on right end of instrument panel near door. If fuse is blown, go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step  6 .
  3. Replace DOOR LOCKS fuse. Recheck condition of DOOR LOCKS fuse. If fuse is blown, go to step  8 . If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position and back on again. Press either power door lock switch to LOCK position. Recheck condition of DOOR LOCKS fuse. If fuse is blown, go to step  9 . If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  5. Press either power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. Recheck condition of DOOR LOCKS fuse. If fuse is blown, go to step  10 . If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  6. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect BCM connector C3. Connect test light between BCM connector C3 terminal "J" (Orange wire) and ground. See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step  11 .
  7. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Reinstall components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Recheck for BCM DTCs. If DTC B0807 resets as current, go to step  12 . If DTC B0807 does not reset as current, go to step  13 .
  8. Repair short to ground in Orange wire between BCM and door lock relay. Door lock relay is located behind glove box, attached to cross-car beam. After repairs, go to step  14 .
  9. Repair short to ground in Gray wire between BCM and suspect door lock actuator. See appropriate wiring diagram in POWER DOOR LOCKS & REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article. After repairs, go to step  14 .
  10. Repair short to ground in Tan wire between BCM and suspect door lock actuator. See appropriate wiring diagram in POWER DOOR LOCKS & REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article. After repairs, go to step  14 .
  11. Repair open or poor connection in Orange wire between BCM and door lock relay. Door lock relay is located behind glove box, attached to cross-car beam. After repairs, go to step  14 .
  12. Check for poor connections at BCM connector C1 terminal "J". If connection is okay, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform new BCM setup. See NEW BCM SETUP  under PROGRAMMING. After programming BCM, go to step  14 .
  13. Symptom is not present at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS  for additional diagnostic information.
  14. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If any DTCs are current, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. If no DTCs are current, system is operating properly.
