DTC P0463: Fuel Level Sensor Signal Open/Short To Battery: Description

DTC P0463 indicates Body Function Controller (BFC) fuel sensor input is shorted to battery or open. DTC P0463 will set when ignition 0 input is active and analog fuel input is open or shorted to voltage for 2.55 seconds.

When DTC P0463 is set, fuel gauge will display empty and LOW FUEL indicator will illuminate. DTC P0463 can be cleared using scan tool, or history DTC will disappear after 100 ignition cycles if fault conditions do not reoccur.
