Temperature Control (With Dual-Zone Climate Control)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Driver and passenger's side temperature is controlled individually according to position of temperature selectors (slide levers) on A/C-heater control panel. An electric motor (air temperature actuator) is attached to each side of A/C-heater module and is used to control temperature valves based on input from temperature selectors. Temperature valves control airflow through heater core as temperature selectors are moved through their full travel.
