Left Front Power Door Lock Actuator Does Not Operate Using Power Door Lock Switch Or RKE Transmitter

- Trouble shoot door lock system first. See TROUBLE SHOOTING . After performing trouble shooting, go to next step.
- Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe left front door lock actuator connector terminal "A" (Tan wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Press left front power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If test light illuminates, go to step 6). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Check for open in Tan wire between left front door lock switch and ground connector. If circuit is open, go to next step. If circuit is okay, go to step 5).
- Repair open in Tan wire. After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Repair poor terminal contact at MALL module harness connector terminal "A" (Tan wire). After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Connect test light between ground and left front door actuator harness connector terminal "B" (Gray wire). Press left front power door lock switch to LOCK position. If test light illuminates, go to step 8). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Repair open in Gray wire between left front power door lock actuator and ground connector. After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Check for poor terminal contact at left front power door lock actuator connector. If terminal contact is okay, go to next step. If terminal contact is faulty, go to step 10).
- Repair terminal contact. After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Replace left front door lock actuator. After replacing actuator, recheck system operation.
