Circuit Description

PCM monitors Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve pintle position sensor to ensure valve is responding to commands from PCM.

Conditions required to set DTC are:

• EGR feedback is less than 0.14 volt at any time.
• EGR feedback is 0.4 volt greater or less than EGR closed valve pintle position when desired EGR position is commanded to 0 percent.
• Actual EGR position is 10 greater or less than EGR desired position.
• Listed condition present for longer than 20 seconds.
