Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Confirms an open in brake switch circuitry currently exists.
  2. Indicates if brake switch signal is being received by EBTCM.
  3. Pinout Box (J-39700) with Adapter Cable (J-39700-25) must be connected to isolate open circuit to either brake switch input circuitry or to EBTCM.
  4. Ensures malfunction was not due to poor terminal contact.
