Code A076 - Left Front Solenoid Circuit Open Or Shorted To: Notes

BATTERY

This test identifies a solenoid that cannot be energized due to an open circuit, or a solenoid that is always energized due to a short to battery in circuit between driver and solenoid. An open will not allow proper ABS operation, but short to battery simply turns on solenoid.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This step checks for short to battery in solenoid circuit.
  2. This step checks for open in solenoid circuit.
  3. This step isolates open to either solenoid or ground circuit.
  4. This step tests for intermittent problem in solenoid circuit due to poor connector terminal contact.
