Code A046 - Rear Axle Channel Will Not Move: Notes

This test is designed to detect non-actuating Expansion Spring Brake (ESB) during initialization.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This step tests for motor movement while applying hydraulic pressure to rear wheel cylinders. A frozen piston or gear will result in no application of rear brakes.
  2. This step tests for motor's ability to move to release position. If motor does not release, wheel will not turn.
  3. This step releases motor pack tension before removal.
  4. This step isolates faulty component.
