Code A032 - LF Wheel Sensor Shorted To Battery Or Ground: Notes

Wheel sensors produce AC voltage signal as magnetic teeth pass coil. The AC voltage signal created enables EBCM to determine wheel RPM. Code A032 detects short to ground and short to battery in wheel speed circuit sensed by EBCM.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This step checks if code is due to short to battery or short to ground.
  2. This step checks if wheel speed sensor is shorted to ground.
  3. This step checks if wheel speed sensor circuit is shorted to battery.
  4. This step determines if sensor circuit has good continuity.
  5. This step determines if sensor circuit is shorted to ground.
  6. This step determines if sensor circuit is shorted to battery.
