A/C Compressor Function Control Test

  1. Set ignition switch to RUN position. Set mode selector, in turn, to MAX, BLEND, A/C, BI-LEVEL and DEFROST positions. Measure voltage in each setting of mode selector.
  2. Measure voltage at A/C-heater control assembly Pink/Black wire terminal connector and ground. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check Pink/Black wire for open or shorted circuit to ground.
  3. Measure voltage between Light Green wire terminal connector and ground. If battery voltage is present, check Light Green wire for open circuit. If battery voltage is not present, replace A/C-heater control assembly.
