A/C-Heater Power Module Test: Notes

  1. Disconnect A/C-heater power module connectors. A/C-heater power module is located behind instrument panel, under right side of plenum. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Set blower motor to high speed and A/C-heater control unit to OFF mode.
  2. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between Red wire and ground, between Red and Black wires and between Gray/Black wire and ground at A/C-heater power module connector. If battery voltage (about 9 volts for Gray/Black wire and ground) is present for each test but blower motor does not run, perform TEST "A".
  3. If battery voltage is not present in step 2), check fusible link and for open in Red, Black ground and Gray/Black wires. If all wires are okay, perform A/C-HEATER CONTROL UNIT TEST under TESTING.
