A/C Compressor Function Control Test

NOTE: Outside air temperature should be more than 60°F (16°C) during this test.
  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Set A/C-heater control unit to UPPER mode. Using a voltmeter, backprobe Light Green wire at A/C-heater control unit connector C2 (Natural connector). Connect voltmeter leads between Light Green wire and ground.
  2. If voltmeter indicates 5 volts, check Light Green wire for short. If wire is okay, replace A/C-heater control unit. Repeat test with A/C in LOWER, BI-LEV, DEFOG and DEF modes.
