Test P: Seat Reclining Functions Operate In One Direction Only

  1. Measure the voltage at the connected suspect Recliner Switch Connector.
  2. Measure the battery voltage between Recliner Switch Connector terminals A (ORN/BLK) and E (BLK). See Figure . If the voltage is not as specified, repair the BLK (151, 152, 154) wires.
  3. Measure the battery voltage between Recliner Switch Connector terminals A (ORN/BLK) and B (BLK). If the voltage is not as specified, repair the BLK (151, 152, 154) wires.
  4. If all of the voltages are correct, replace the Recliner Switch. See POWER RECLINER SWITCH (TOURING SEDAN)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
