Test F: Only The Inflate Or Deflate Function Operates
- Measure the voltage at the disconnected Seat Control Module Connector.
- Move the Seat Select Switch to the OFF position and all functions switches to the OFF position.
- Measure the battery voltage between Seat Control Module Connector terminal F (ORN) and ground. See Figure . If the voltage is not as specified, check the ORN (40 and 1440) wires for an open.
- Measure the battery voltage between Seat Control Module Connector terminals F (ORN) and B (BLK). If the voltage is not as specified, check the BLK (154) wire for an open.
- Measure the battery voltage between Seat Control Module Connector terminals F (ORN) and E (BLK). If the voltage is not as specified, check the BLK (154) wire for an open.
- Move the Seat Select Switch to the LEFT or RIGHT position.
- Move each function switch to DEFLATE one at a time.
- Measure the battery voltage between Seat Control Module Connector terminal D (WHT) and ground. If the voltage is not as specified, check the WHT (766) wire for an open. If the wire is good and voltage is not present during operation of some of the function switches, replace the Console Seat Switch.
- Move the Select Seat Switch to the LEFT or RIGHT position.
- Move each function switch to DEFLATE one at a time.
- Measure the battery voltage between Seat Control Module Connector terminal H (GRY) and ground. If the voltage is not as specified, check the GRY (764) wire for an open. If the wire is good and voltage is not present during operation of some function switches, replace the Console Seat Switch.
- If all voltages are correct, but the Seat Air Pump does not operate in all functions, continue onto next steps.
- Measure the resistance at the connected Seat Control Module Connector.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Disconnect Console Seat Switch Connector C1.
- Measure the resistance (less than 1ohm) between Seat Control Module Connector terminals A (BLK/WHT) and B (BLK). If the resistance is not as specified, replace the Seat Control Module.
- Measure the resistance (less than 1ohm) between Seat Control Module Connector terminal A (BLK/WHT) and ground. If the resistance is not as specified, check the BLK (154) wire for an open.
- If the resistances are correct, and voltages are correct, but the Seat Air Pump does not operate in all functions, replace the Seat Control Module.
