WASTEGATE Actuator

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose to wastegate actuator. Apply vacuum to actuator. If wastegate actuator moves, replace wastegate control valve solenoid.
  2. If wastegate actuator does not move, check vacuum hose. Replace vacuum hose if defective. If vacuum hose is okay, disconnect actuator linkage at wastegate. Apply vacuum to actuator. If actuator moves, wastegate is sticking. If actuator does not move, replace actuator.
