Code B339, Loss Of Radio Data (Riviera Only): Notes
Since the data circuit between the radio and the CRTC is a different circuit than the data circuit that connects the BCM to the CRTC, the only common point is the CRTC and its power and ground circuits. Since the CRTC is working, as it must be in order to see this code, the only circuit problems than can cause this code to set are open or shorted radio data circuits, loss of power or ground to the radio, or internal problem in the radio or CRTC.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Checks for intermittent condition.
- Checks to see if the fault is due to the data circuit (including the radio's capability to generate data), or the CRTC.
- Checks to see if the fault is due to an open or shorted data circuit, or the radio is not generating data.
- Measuring voltage at various points will determine if the reason the radio is not generating data is due to power or ground circuits or the radio itself.
