Programmer Control Level

This adjustment should be made only after all other possible causes of front seat comfort level and temperature setting mismatch have been eliminated. See  "TESTING " and "TROUBLE SHOOTING & DIAGNOSIS " in this article. 

1. Check items given under "Visual Inspection" first.
2. Remove glove box to gain access to programmer.
3. Start engine and operate until normal operating temperature and curb idle are reached.
4. Connect engine vacuum source or outside vacuum source of equal value to engine vacuum port of vacuum checking relay.
5. Set control lever to "MAX" position. Move temperature lever until left end of programmer vacuum motor link, as seen through opening of glove box, is just even with left edge of programmer cutout area "A".
6. Grasp programmer control lever at "6" and insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into programmer control lever adjusting slot "C". Rotate screwdriver counterclockwise to raise front seat temperature or clockwise to lower front seat output temperature. Do this until output temperature and control lever setting agree.
   NOTE: A 1/4" movement of the left end of motor link will result in bringing front seat area temperature 3° closer to temperature lever setting.
