Engine Oil Pressure Warning Lamp

DESIGN/PURPOSE

When engine oil pressure is low, the oil pressure warning lamp informs the driver of low oil pressure to prevent damage to the engine.

SIGNAL PATH

ECM reads the ON/OFF signals from the engine oil pressure sensor and transmits the engine oil pressure sensor signal to the combination meter via CAN communication.
The combination meter turns the engine oil pressure warning lamp ON/OFF according the engine oil pressure sensor signal received via CAN communication.
