Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 

1. For MT models, remove shift selector handle cover and pull upward on the shift selector handle while twisting right and left. Refer to Exploded View .
2. For CVT models, remove selector lever knob with the following procedure.

   Slide the selector lever knob cover (1) down.

   CAUTION:

   Do not damage the knob cover.

   Pull out the lock pin (2). Pull the selector lever knob (3) and knob cover upwards to remove them.

3. Release metal clips and pawls and remove shift selector finisher and console upper finisher as an assembly. Refer to Exploded View .
4. Disconnect harness connector from push button ignition switch.
5. Disconnect harness connector from shift indicator lamp.
6. For CVT, remove screws (A) then remove slide plate (1).

7. Remove screws (A) then remove push-button ignition switch bracket (2) with push-button ignition switch (1).

   NOTE: MT shift selector finisher shown, CVT shift selector finisher similar.
8. Release pawls using a suitable tool, then remove push-button ignition switch (1) from push-button ignition switch bracket (2).

INSTALLATION 

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
