Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR RELAY POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect ECM harness connector.
- Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.
- Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
ECM IPDM E/R Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal F7 15 E13 32 Existed - Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 3.
NO: GO TO 2.
- DETECT MALFUNCTION PART
Check the following.
- Harness connectors E7, F121
- Harness for open or short between ECM and IPDM E/R
Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
- CHECK THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR RELAY INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
- Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
ECM IPDM E/R Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal F7 2 E15 52 Existed - Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 5.
NG: GO TO 4.
- Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.
- DETECT MALFUNCTION PART
Check the following.
- Harness connectors E7, F121
- Harness for open or short between ECM and IPDM E/R
Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
- CHECK FUSE
- Disconnect 20A fuse (No. 61) from IPDM E/R.
- Check 20A fuse for blown.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 6.
NO: Replace 20A fuse.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace IPDM E/R.
NO: Repair or replace harness or connectors.
