Inspection Procedure

HINT:

If there is not the LEXUS hand-held tester, begin with STEP  2.

  1. Perform active test. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.

    CHECK: 

    1. Enter into ACTIVE TEST function of the LEXUS hand-held tester.
    2. Check that each information is displayed on the multi information display as the LEXUS hand-held tester directs.

    OK: 

    The display operates normally. 

    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Go to next step. 
  2. Check multi information display (See  INSPECTION  ). 
    1. NG : Replace character plate. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  3. Check circuit plate (See  INSPECTION  ). 
    1. NG : Replace circuit plate. 
    2. OK : Check and replace combination meter (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
