Inspection Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
3. Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side and harness side).
  - TCM connector
  - Harness connector F59
  - Harness connector M71
OK or NG

OK: GO TO 2.

NG: Repair the terminal and connector.

CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Disconnect the connector of TCM.
Check the resistance between the TCM harness connector terminals.

HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 3.

NG: Repair the TCM branch line.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply and the ground circuit of TCM. Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM ".

OK or NG

OK:
- Present error: Replace the TCM. Refer to "TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE ".
- Past error: Error was detected in the TCM branch line.
NG: Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
