CONSULT-II Setting Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Nissan Quest. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunctions might be detected in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carry out CAN communication.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Connect CONSULT-II and CONSULT-II CONVERTER to data link connector, which is located in instrument lower panel on driver side.

  3. Turn ignition switch to ON position. (Do not start engine.)
  4. Touch "START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)".

  5. Touch "A/T".

    If "A/T" is not indicated, go to "CONSULT-II DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC) CIRCUIT ".

  6. Touch "DTC WORK SUPPORT".

  7. Touch select item menu (1st, 2nd, etc.).

  8. Touch "START".

  9. Perform driving test according to "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" in "TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR DTC".

    • When testing conditions are satisfied, CONSULT-II screen changes from "OUT OF CONDITION" to "TESTING"  .

  10. Stop vehicle. If "NG" appears on the screen, malfunction may exist. Go to "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE ".

  11. Perform test drive to check gear shift feeling in accordance with instructions displayed.

  12. Touch "YES" or "NO".

  13. CONSULT-II procedure ended.

    If "NG" appears on the scene, a malfunction may exist. Go to "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE ".
