IPDM E/R Circuit Inspection

CHECK CONNECTOR
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
3. Check following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (control module side and harness side).
  - IPDM E/R
  - Harness connector E25
  - Harness connector M90
OK or NG

OK: GO TO 2.

NG: Repair terminal or connector.

CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.

Check resistance between IPDM E/R harness connector terminals.

RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

IPDM E/R connector	Terminal		Resistance (Approx.)
E121	48	49	108 - 132 ohm

OK or NG

OK: Replace IPDM E/R.

NG: Repair harness between IPDM E/R and data link connector.
