Coil Spring And Strut Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Compress coil spring using a spring compressor, and install it onto strut assembly. Face tube side of coil spring downward. Align lower end to spring seat. Apply soapy water to bound bumper and insert into strut mounting insulator.
  2. Be careful to install spring correctly. See Fig 1 . Install upper spring seat with slit facing outer side of vehicle. Install piston rod lock nut and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
