DTC Confirmation Test

Depending on equipment available, use one of the following to set DTC:

• Using scan tool, start engine and warm to operating temperature. Using DVOM, measure voltage between PCM harness connector terminal No. 63 and ground by backprobing. See Figure. Ensure voltage is less than 4.2 volts. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Start engine and idle for at least 20 seconds. Select MODE 7 on scan tool.
• Using MIL, start engine and warm to operating temperature. Using DVOM, measure voltage between PCM harness connector terminal No. 63 and ground by backprobing. See Figure. Ensure voltage is less than 4.2 volts. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Start engine and idle for at least 20 seconds. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds.
