Check Input Signal Circuit

Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM and A/T control unit harness connectors. See Figure and Figure . Check continuity between the following connector terminals:

• ECM connector terminal No. 24 and A/T control unit connector terminal No 10 (Blue/Green wire).
• ECM connector terminal No. 29 and A/T control unit connector terminal No 11 (Blue/White wire).
• ECM connector terminal No. 30 and A/T control unit connector terminal No 12 (Blue/Red wire).

Continuity should be present. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair harness or connectors between ECM and A/T control unit.

Leave ignition off. Check continuity between ground and ECM connector terminals No. 24, 29 and 30. Continuity should be present. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair harness or connectors between ECM and A/T control unit.

Disconnect ECM harness connector. Check ECM pin terminals for damage or corrosion. Check all circuit connector for clean, tight fit. If fault is still present, repeat test.
