Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSIBLE LINK 
    1. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
    2. Check that the following fusible link is not blown (open).
      Fusible link No. Current rating
      KK 30 A

    Is the fusible link blown (open)? 

    YES: Repair the blown (open) fusible link after repairing the affected circuit if a fusible link blown (open).

    NO: GO TO  2.

  2. CHECK REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH POWER SUPPLY 
    1. Disconnect rear power window switch connector.
    2. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON.
    3. Check voltage between rear power window switch harness connector and ground.
      (+) (-) Voltage
      Rear power window switch
      Connector Terminal
      LH D204 6 Ground 9 - 16 V
      RH D304

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: GO TO  7.

    NO: GO TO  3.

  3. CHECK POWER WINDOW RELAY POWER SUPPLY 
    1. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
    2. Remove power window relay.
    3. Check voltage between fuse block (J/B) and ground.
      (+) (-) Voltage
      Fuse block (J/B)
      Terminal
      Power window relay Switch upstream side Ground 9 - 16 V
      Coil upstream side

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: GO TO  4.

    NO: Repair or replace harness.

  4. CHECK REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 

    Check continuity between fuse block (J/B) and rear power window switch harness connector.

    RH D304

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: GO TO  5.

    NO: Repair or replace harness.

  5. CHECK POWER WINDOW RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT 
    1. Disconnect BCM connector.
    2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and fuse block (J/B).
      BCM Fuse block (J/B) Continuity
      Connector Terminal Terminal
      M18 32 Power window relay Coil downstream side Existed
    3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
      BCM - Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M18 32 Ground Not existed

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: GO TO  6.

    NO: Repair or replace harness.

  6. CHECK POWER WINDOW RELAY 

    Check power window relay.

    Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: Replace BCM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO: Replace power window relay.

  7. CHECK REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
    2. Check continuity between rear power window switch harness connector and ground.
      Rear power window switch - Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      LH D204 7 Ground Existed
      RH D304

    Repair or replace harness  .

    YES: INSPECTION END

    NO: Repair or replace harness.
