Removal And Installation: Notes

WARNING: Before removing the steering gear, refer to AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS and DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE & CLOCKSPRING or PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE . Center the front wheels. Failure to do so may damage the SRS clock spring and render the SRS system inoperative, risking serious injury.

CAUTION: *: Indicates parts which should be temporarily tightened, and then fully tightened after placing the vehicle horizontally and loading the full weight of the engine on the vehicle body.
