Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Check front HO2S and circuit. See DTC P0130 & P0150: FRONT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION . Repair front HO2S or circuit as necessary, and then go to step  5. If front HO2S and circuit are okay, go to next step.
  2. Check fuel injectors and circuit. See DTC P0201-P0206: FUEL INJECTOR CYLINDER NO. 1-6 CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION . Repair fuel injectors or circuit as necessary, and then go to step  5. If fuel injectors and circuit are okay, go to next step.
  3. Check fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE under FUEL SYSTEM in BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article. Repair as necessary, and then go to step  5. If fuel pressure is okay, go to next step.
  4. Check air intake system and exhaust system for leaks. Check fuel filter and fuel line for clogging. Check fuel pump for low delivery volume. Repair as necessary. If listed items are okay, replace ECM, and then go to next step.
  5. Test drive vehicle following OBD-II drive cycle other monitor pattern. See OTHER MONITOR under OBD-II DRIVE CYCLES in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article. Check for DTCs. Confirm DTC does not reset.

No specific self-diagnostic test is provided by manufacturer. Check front heated oxygen sensor, fuel injectors, and related connectors and harnesses. Check for intake system leak, exhaust leak, fuel filter clogging and insufficient fuel pump discharge rate. See appropriate component or system in BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
