DTC 20 - Injector No. 2 Control Circuit Failure

- Using scan tool, perform ACTUATOR TEST No. 10 (ASD relay). If ASD relay operation can be heard, go to next step. If ASD relay operation cannot be heard, repair ASD relay circuit.
- Disconnect injector harness connector. Check resistance across injector terminals. If resistance is 11-15 ohms at 68°F (20°C), go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace injector.NOTE: ASD relay is cycled on and off every 1.4 seconds.
- Using scan tool, perform ACTUATOR TEST No. 10 (ASD relay). Check voltage between ground and injector connector terminal No. 2. If battery voltage exists when ASD relay is on, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist when ASD relay is on, check wiring harness and junction connectors between ASD relay and injector connector.
- Reconnect injector connector. Disconnect PCM connectors. Connect a jumper wire between ground and PCM A-107 connector terminal No. 67. Check voltage between ground and PCM A-106 connector terminal No. 17. Using scan tool, perform ACTUATOR TEST No. 10 (ASD relay). If battery voltage exists, check PCM connectors. If PCM connectors are okay, replace PCM. If battery voltage does not exist, check injector connector, junction connector and wiring harness between PCM and injector connector.
