Code P0110: Intake Air Temperature Fault
NOTE:
For component terminal identification, see TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION
in this article. For appropriate WIRING DIAGRAMS, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
section.
- Disconnect volume airflow sensor connector. Measure resistance between sensor terminal No 5 and 6. Resistance should be 5.3-6.7k/ohms at 32°F (0°C), 2.3-3.0 k/ohms at 68°F (20°C) or .30-.42 k/ohms at 176°F (80°C). Measure resistance while heating sensor with hair dryer. If sensor resistance remains unchanged or increases as temperature is increased, replace volume airflow sensor. If air temperature sensor is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect volume airflow sensor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between sensor connector terminal No. 6 (Red/Blue wire) and ground. Voltage should be 4.5-4.9 volts. Check continuity between sensor connector terminal No. 5 (Black wire) and ground.
- If voltage is not within specification or continuity does not exist, go to next step. If voltage is within specification and continuity exists, check airflow sensor connector. If connector is okay, replace PCM.
- Check PCM connector and wiring harness between PCM and air temperature sensor connector. If connector and wiring is okay, replace PCM.
