Chart 6-1: Stop Light Switch Circuit
When the brake pedal is depressed during constant speed travel, the stop light switch's (NC) contacts for the cruise control system open, with the result that the current to the solenoid valves of the actuator is interrupted, thus canceling the constant speed travel. The flow of the current is from the battery to the stop light switch, and the cruise control unit. See Fig 1 . See WIRING DIAGRAMS for circuit locations.
