Secondary Air Control Valve

  1. Remove secondary air control valve. Blow air from air cleaner side. It should not blow through. Connect a hand vacuum pump to valve nipple. Apply 19.4 in. Hg vacuum. Valve should hold vacuum.
  2. Apply 5.8 in. Hg vacuum. Air blown from air cleaner side to exhaust manifold side should pass. Air blown from exhaust manifold side to air cleaner side should not pass.
