Service mode: Notes

However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Proceed as follows to call up the service mode:

Terminal 30 g ON
Switch off the radio
Switch on the radio again
Within 8 seconds, press the button for the manual station-search function and then maintain pressure for a period of at least 8 seconds
The radio responds by switching to the service mode.

Once the radio is in the service mode the following functions can be accessed and executed:

Display of the serial number
Display of the software version
Display of the revision index
Display and setting adjustment for speed-dependent volume control (GAL)
Display and adjustment of the setting for aerial selection
Frequency display, field strength and station transmission quality
Display of status and incrementation of the digital sound processor
Display and adjustment of the minimum volume for traffic reports
Display test
Display and adjustment of settings for reception areas
Display and adjustment settings of the Car & Key Memory
Adjustment of the setting for alternate frequency tracing
Display of test operation in development
