Removal & Installation

  1. Remove driver's seat.
  2. Remove entrance cover strip at front inside.
  3. Lift floor trim panel and fold to one side.
  4. Unlock plug connection (1) and detach. Release screws (2) and remove rotation rate sensor (3). See Fig 1 .
  5. Installation is reverse of removal. Ensure proper locking of the plug connector.
  6. Tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. After replacing the rotation rate sensor, carry out an adjustment of the rotation rate sensor with DIS (Diagnosis and Information System) under the menu item "Service functions".
