37 14 055 Removing And Installing/Replacing Dynamic Drive Control Unit

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Slacken nut (2).

Tightening torque. See INTEGRATED SUSPENSION SYSTEMS - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Remove Dynamic Drive control unit towards bottom.

Build date up to 04/2002: 

IMPORTANT: Check control unit plug when replacing control unit.

If all the pins are connected on the control unit plug, observe the following:

Four pins must be unpinned from the plug, insulated and tied back to the wiring harness:

Read and comply with notes on opening and unpinning  . See 61 13 OPENING PLUG HOUSINGS AND REMOVING CONTACTS OF DIFFERENT PLUG SYSTEMS .
