Test B: Unable To Enter Self-Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABCM connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ABCM connector terminal No. 12 (Red wire) and ground. If no voltage is present, go to next step. If any voltage is present, repair Red wire circuit. Recheck system operation.
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ABCM connector terminal No. 12 (Red) and ground. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair Red wire circuit. Recheck system operation.
  3. Connect ABCM connector. Turn ignition on. Check communication to ABCM, using New Generation Star (NGS) tester (007-00500), or equivalent scan tool. If scan tool communicates with ABCM, install new Electronic Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU). Restore system. Clear DTCs. Recheck system operation. If scan tool cannot communicate with ABCM, go to TEST A  .
