Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

Sensor uses a 5-volt reference voltage during engine operation. To check ECT signal voltage, backprobe between signal terminal and ground with engine running. To check sensor resistance, disconnected sensor and measure resistance between sensor terminals. For specifications, see ECT SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS table. For additional testing information, see CIRCUIT TEST DA in TESTS W/CODES - EEC-V article.
