Knock Sensor (KS)

KS is located on cylinder block. Before continuing diagnosis, check base engine condition, quality of fuel and ignition timing. Faults in sensor or circuit should set a service code. Sensor is tested by substitution or by manually generating a knock to ensure sensor will set a service code.
