Valve Spring Installed Height

Measure assembled height of valve spring from surface of spring pad to underside of spring retainer. If height is not within specifications, install 0.030" (0.76 mm) spacer(s) between spring and pad to obtain recommended height. Do not install spacers unless necessary, as excess use of spacers will result in over-stressing valve springs and over-loading camshaft lobe.
