4. Compliance: Notes

In general, any RP 1227-compliant application should work with any RP 1227-compliant VDA for supported operating systems and protocols. RP 1227-compliant means not having to write "work around code" in an application or in a VDA driver to deal with applicationA/DA eccentricities (i.e., non-compliance). This allows VDAs to be totally transparent to different applications, and applications to function reliably and consistently between VDAs.
