Component Availability

The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is responsible for component availability and should ensure that fleets have access to any and all of the following items:

• Connectors
• Secondary locks
• Terminals
• Cable seals
• Hand wiring crimp tools
• Terminal extraction tools

Coordination between OEMs and connector manufacturers is necessary in order to match the correct repair tools with the individual wiring connector systems in use today.
